Accessing Technical Support After Hours

The Technical Support Center is opened Monday – Friday from 7:30am until 5:00pm . Outside of these hours, we maintain an on-call system for emergency requests. To report an issue or request assistance, simply call 660-7878, press “0”, and leave a voice message. Our system will automatically alert us of your call.

Here are some guidelines for after hours support:

  • Feel free to report technical issues which appear to be impacting more than one user or system.
  • When reporting an issue, please leave as much detail as possible in your voice message.
  • Leave a call back number in case we need to reach you.
  • For email issues, please contact the OIT Help Desk at 684-2200. Please note that the OIT Help Desk does not respond to requests for unlock/reset of e-mail accounts after hours.
  • Technical issues/requests affecting just a single user or client system will be addressed in the next business day.

Examples of what is supported after-hours:

  • Network connectivity issues impacting more than one system (Learn more...)
  • Wireless connectivity issues impacting more than one system (Learn more...)
  • Account lockout for Fuqua Domain (Learn more...)

Examples of what is NOT supported after-hours:

  • A single PC or printer not functioning or not connecting to the network
    • Most system and connection problems can be solved by restarting the computer.
    • If the system is completly locked, press and hold the power button until it turns off.
    • For network problems, make sure the network cable (looks like a large phone cord) is plugged into both the machine and the wall.
    • Use a computer in one of the computer labs.
  • Home connectivity to Fuqua
  • Network printer unavailable (Please use printers in the Personal Print Labs)
