Troubleshooting: Account lockout for Fuqua Domain

If you are not able to log in to a Fuqua workstation and you receive a message stating that your account has been locked.  You will need to contact the Technical Support Center at 660-7878 or help@fuqua.duke.edu in order to have your account unlocked.  Please note that for security reasons password changes must be done in person with a picture ID.  Only unlocking an account may be done via email or phone.

Troubleshooting
If you are attempting to Fuqua via the Fuqua VPN or other means you should check the following items to ensure you are entering the password correctly.

  • Check that Caps Lock is not on
  • Try connecting via FTP to ensure that you are not experiencing problems with local router configurations at your location
  • Make sure that you are using the correct password – Logging on to Fuqua workstations, the VPN, and CareerCompass all require the FuquaNet password which may be different than your Duke NetID (used for Duke e-mail, FuquaWorld, and course web sites) password.  Your FuquaNet password is not changed with any NetID password changes.

Alternatives
Work on data locally until the account is unlocked.  Users should save and work from the following locations until the TSC can unlock your FuquaNet account.

Faculty – Local hard drive on workstation or laptop
Students – USB drive or print document
Staff – Local hard drive on workstation or laptop
PhD Students – Local data drive (D: Drive)
