Multimedia Workspace

Based on interest and demand from faculty, we are creating a shared Multimedia Workspace which faculty can reserve and use to create and edit video and other multimedia content supporting their teaching or research. The equipment and software is being configured and will be available for faculty use within the next month.

R.David Thomas Center Improvements

Plans to uplift the Thomas Center team rooms are under development. The new technology will provide executive-level look and feel for guests and will include digital whiteboards, shared display systems, and access to network-based folders for easier report-out processes.

Financial Markets Room

One of the new conference rooms in the Fox Center is being adapted to become Fuqua's Financial Markets Room. Fuqua IT staffs have been working with the MBAA and student leaders from the Finance and Asset Management clubs to implement this exciting new feature within the Fuqua environment. Students will use the room in the mornings for working meetings. Guest speakers will be able to leverage the space for club-sponsored presentations and discussions. While not a "trading room" per se, the space will provide a focus and center for student-based financial markets interest and activities.

Classroom Videoconferencing

A new videoconferencing gateway is en route to Fuqua and when installed when allow videoconferencing in any of the classrooms within Fuqua's Teaching Space. Currently, videoconferencing to include guest lecturers from a distance has been limited to use in the RJR Studio Classroom.

Behavioral Lab Environment

Deployment of the new Behavioral Lab Environment is complete. The multimedia technology in this new Fuqua research support facility will provide world-class capability for existing and future Fuqua faculty needing to conduct behavioral research. The environment will contain a Market Room, team interaction rooms, and a group of dyad rooms all equipped with workstations, displays, cameras, and interactive communications.
