On Monday, January 13th, the IT Applications group rolled out a combined event and personal scheduling system within FuquaWorld. This new system allows you to add events from the Fuqua Events Calendar directly into your personal schedule if you have a MeetingMaker account and use or sync to MeetingMaker. To access this new feature, simply click on the Personal Calendar link on the FuquaWorld home page.
This new system allows you to:
1. View your personal MeetingMaker schedule in conjunction with the Fuqua Events Calendar. If you use or synch to MeetingMaker for your personal schedule, your personal calendar will show up on the left-hand side of the page in the "My Schedule" section. This "My Schedule" view is a real-time view of your personal MeetingMaker schedule. If you do not have an active MeetingMaker account, please contact the TSC at ext. 7878 to have this created.
2. Add an event from the Fuqua Events Calendar directly to your personal calendar with 1 click.
3. Perform simple adds/edits to your personal calendar from within FuquaWorld.
While you are able to add existing Fuqua Events to your personal calendar, please understand that any future changes to these events (schedule, location, etc.) will not be automatically updated on your personal schedule. A snapshot of the event is simply added to your personal calendar at the time you click on the "add" link. If a subsequent change is made to the Fuqua event, you will need to manually edit (or delete and re-add) the item on your personal calendar. Likewise, canceled Fuqua events are not automatically removed from your personal calendar. You can check the "Show Canceled" box within the Events Calendar page to see any events that have been canceled. You can then edit your personal calendar (from within FuquaWorld or MeetingMaker) to remove them for your schedule.
