Duke's email service is being flooded by a brand new virus this afternoon. Thus far, we have seen the virus appear within infected emails with the subject: "your account" and the return address: "Admin@Fuqua.Duke.Edu" . DO NOT attempt to open any attachment associated with these messages. Delete the message immediately.

Be aware that the subject and return address may change as the virus mutates. As always, unless you are expecting an attachment from someone you know, do not attempt to open the attachment.

Many of you have seen us running updates on your computers over the past 24 hours to address a security issue with Microsoft Windows. This virus does not appear to be related to that issue. We are working in close contact with OIT on this problem. As always, feel free to check with us on IT security matters.
