We have seen the effects over the last day of a new virus which creates and sends a short message that appears as follows:

From: Administration@duke.edu   (or management@duke.edu )
Subject: Notify about using the e-mail account  (or [PMX:VIRUS] Warning about your e-mail account.)

If you receive a message like this, please delete it -- do not open the attachment.  We are working with OIT and local staffs to better understand what is causing this virus effect.

As a reminder, Fuqua IT and Duke OIT will never send you an email with an attachment.
