Fuqua users can use the Thunderbird E-mail client to read Fuqua-related Newsgroups. To sign-up for Fuqua Newsgroups via your Thunderbird client, just follow the simple steps below:

1. Open Thunderbird and click on Tools, then Account Settings
2. Click the Add Account button, Select Newsgroup account, and click Next
3. Type your name and e-mail address as you would like them to appear when you post to the forums
4. For Newsgroup Server, type forums.fuqua.duke.edu
5. Type any account name you like, such as Fuqua Forums
6. Click Finish, and you will see the new account listed in the left column of Account Settings window
7. Click on the Server Settings entry below the new account you just created
8. Enable Use secure connection (SSL), and ensure the Port has changed to 563
9. Enable Always request authentication when connecting to this server
10. Click OK, and the account will appear in the left pane of the main Thunderbird window
11. Click on the account, then click Manage newsgroup subscriptions
12. From here, you may subscribe to any forums you wish to use.  These will then show in the main Thunderbird window, on the left pane under the newsgroup account.
