After the MeetingMaker database is upgraded to v.8.6, on Friday, July 27, 2007, you will no longer be able to access the Meeting Maker database with the old client. While you may work off-line, it is not recommended that you do so. Any changes you make will not be reflected in the new database and will be overwritten when you upgrade.

Instead, you are prompted that a new version of the client exists. Click “Yes” to start the download of the new client, and follow these steps:

  1. After all the files are downloaded, the setup will start.
(approx. 9.8MB, 8-9 minutes for download)
  2. Click through the wizards accepting the defaults.
  3. If you are prompted to create a backup file of your local data, have the Wizard do so.
  4. Once completed, you are given the opportunity to start Meeting Maker. Do so.
  5. You will see the login screen. Enter your Meeting Maker userid and password and click “Sign-In”. The server, Fuqua, should already be selected. If it is not, or you get a message saying the server could not be found, follow the directions below. Otherwise, skip to the next step .
    1. Click the “Select” button across from Server.
    2. Click the “Configure” button in the Select Server dialog box.
    3. Enter calendar.fuqua.duke.edu into the Host List dialog box and click “OK”.
    4. Highlight the server Fuqua that should appear in the box on the right and click “Select”.
    5. Click “Sign-In”.
  6. After a short interval, the calendar opens.
