Students, Staff and Faculty
NOTE: Students, Staff and Faculty - If you have never connected to Duke's "FUQUA" wifi, EVEN IF you have previously connected to any of Duke's main campus WIFI connections, you will need to change password in order to establish a wireless connection here at FUQUA.
Connect to the Fuqua Secure Wireless Network
Connecting with Windows- Connect to Duke Visitor wireless network. This will not require you to sign in
- Open your preferred Web browser, and navigate to http://wifi.fuqua.duke.edu/.
- Click the JoinNow button. An executable file will download.
- Once the file has downloaded, navigate to the download location, and run the executable.
- A SecureW2 application window opens, you will be prompted to enter your Username and Password. Click Next.
- If the configuration has been successful, the SecureW2 window should display a Joined… notification.
- If you received the Joined… message, you are now connected to the FUQUA Secure Wireless network.
- Click the Wi-Fi icon, select the network labeled FUQUA.
- Enter your NetID and the associated password. Click Join
- If the connection is successful, you will now see a check mark next to FUQUA in the list of networks.
Common connectivty issue:
- Duke NetID password is not synched with Fuqua NetID. Failing to authenticate to the Fuqua wifi is often an indication that you have not synched your Duke NetID and Fuqua NetID accounts. Please review the following link for instructions to synchronize both accounts with the same password: Duke NetID and Fuqua NetID Password Sync
Guest Access
Connect to the Visitor Network
- Select the wireless network called "DukeVisitor"
There is a firewall enabled on this network that blocks some types of traffic (SMTP, SSH, RDP, etc). Please try to use everything through a web browser. If a particular application won't work, contact us for troubleshooting and a solution.
WiFi Adapters
Most laptops and many mobile devices have 802.11a/b/g/n ("WiFi") equipment built in. If you're not sure whether or not yours has such a device, refer to your equipment manufacturer.
We recommend purchasing an adapter with the following specifications for optimal performance on Duke's wireless network.
